Test Methods for the Electrical Performance of Electric Vehicle Lithium-Ion Battery Packs and Systems

7. March 2024

The State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration of China (SAC) has approved and announced 468 recommended national standards, including test methods for the electrical performance of lithium-ion battery packs and systems for electric vehicles. The GB Standard in question is an update of the previous versions GB/T 31467.1-2015 and GB/T 31467.2-2015. For electric car batteries in China, it should be noted that requirements for a mandatory traceability code are set for seamless monitoring from production to recycling. In order to meet these requirements, battery manufacturers must officially register in China and store the data of the batteries.

CCC certification is necessary to ensure that certain products meet national standards for safety and quality before they are sold or used in China.

For more information on how CCC certification, the CCC Self-Declaration and voluntary CCAP or CQC certification may affect your company, or for more information about CCC certification in general, please visit our News Section where you will find current updates twice a week.
