CNCA Project to Simplify the CCC Process for Electronics Manufacturers6. April 2023
On January 09, 2023 a pilot project for the area of self-inspection and self-certification of electrical equipment subject to mandatory CCC certification was announced by CNCA as part of the first announcement of 2023.
During the project, producers are allowed to participate and use certain process exemptions that have specific requirements. One such example is that companies that have a good social credit score will be allowed to use internal lab reports as proof of quality instead of third-party lab reports.
Factors that may allow participation in the project:
- Production in a fixed and known location where they are properly registered.
- Concrete proof that relevant experience in production and with basic regulations exists.
- Existence and adherence to a quality management system shown.
- No deviations should have been detected in the last two years and there should have been no negative media exposure.
A list of eligible producers will be published in February 2023. If a producer submits false or misleading documents during the course of the project, qualification for the project will be cancelled immediately. Initial results are to be evaluated at the end of 2023.
The CCC certificate stands for Chinese Compulsory Certification. Similar to other international safety certification, the CCC China certification serves to ensure quality standards for products introduced to the Chinese market.
