GuoBiao – GB Standard Meaning
13. February 2024The GB standard (GB is short for GuoBiao, i.e. Chinese) forms the basis for the product test that a product subject to CCC must undergo in the course of CCC certification. If the product cannot be assigned to any of the product groups previously defined by the P.R. China for certification and there is no corresponding GB standard, then no CCC is necessary. The GB Standard is published by the Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China, an institute comparable to the German Institute for Standardization (DIN).
GB/T Standards
The same as stated above, with the addition of T (T stands for “tuijian”, Chinese for “recommended”).
