CCC: New Implementation Rules published for Low-voltage Electrical Components11. November 2014
In October 2014 the CQC (China Quality Certification Centre, Chinese: 中国质量认证中心) confirmed and republished the new implementation rules for CCC certification of low-voltage electrical components. As of September 1, 2014 the “Implementation Rules for Compulsory Certification of low-voltage electrical components” (CNCA-C03-02:2014) became effective.
These new regulations were first announced by the CQC In July 2014. The Chinese authority now reissued the announcement to emphasize the importance of the new implementation rules.
The notice states that the new implementation rules are in line with the low-voltage electrical components certification regulations by CQC (CQC-C0302-2014). New certification applications will need to be in compliance with the new implementation rules.
The new implementation rules do not mean that existing certificate holders will necessarily have to reapply for an updated CCC certificate. Manufacturers with a valid CCC certificate will need to check with the CQC regarding what they will be required to do.
During the past months, the Chinese certification authorities have published many regulatory updates and new regulations. It is the responsibility of certificate holders and new applicants to check for updated regulations and corresponding implementation rules to maintain compliance.
