Revised Report Format announced for Lithium Battery CCC Certification in China
21. August 2025On August 15, 2025, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) introduced a revised testing report format for compulsory product certification (CCC) of mobile power supplies, lithium-ion batteries, battery packs, and associated components. The updated format affects products certified under implementation rules CNCA-C09-01:2020 and CNCA-C11-14:2020, which apply to lithium-ion cells and battery packs used in electronic and audio-visual equipment. The decision is aimed at ensuring consistency with the technical specifications outlined in GB 4943.1-2022 and GB 31241-2022.
Mobile power sources, lithium-ion batteries, battery packs, and related components usually require CCC certification or battery registration for China in order to be approved for import and sale in China.

The modified report format takes effect immediately and is to be used in all new applications, change requests, and surveillance inspections submitted after the implementation date. Certification bodies and testing organizations are instructed to begin using the new report templates, including those designated as 0914, 0915, and 0916 for relevant products. The CQC notes that the change will enhance safety evaluations, especially in relation to battery energy density, protection circuits, and key component verification, in alignment with China’s latest safety standards.
