Revised Implementation Rules issued for Tire CCC Certification
14. August 2025In response to recent amendments outlined in GB 9743-2024 and GB 9744-2024—both effective from May 1, 2025—the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has revised the implementation rules for the Compulsory Product Certification (CCC) of motor vehicle tires (document code CQC-C1201-2024). Key updates include changes to Annex 6, modifying the criteria for testing tires under the most unfavorable conditions, and revisions to Annex 7, which clarify the clauses and testing methods used during product type evaluations. These modifications apply to tire product categories 1201 and 1202. Tires usually require CCC certification in order to be approved for import and sale in China.

The CQC has clarified that these adjustments do not affect existing CCC certificates, and no re-certification is required. However, all certified enterprises and related personnel must implement the revised certification procedures as of the notice’s release date, June 12, 2025.
