CCC: The CCC Certification for Caravans and Trailers

2. September 2016

The 55th Caravan Salon exhibition will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. The exhibition is one of the most important and largest trade fairs in the field of caravans and trailers. The target audience of this fair are individual buyers, journalists, dealers and caravan manufacturers. It will take place from August 27 to September 09, 2016.

With the increased demand, this year the fair will be expanded to 12 exhibition halls with over 210,000 square meters, at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. There will be nearly 600 national and international exhibitors displaying the latest developments in the caravan industry. About 130 caravan and motorhome manufacturers will present their current models.

Caravans and camper vans represent a small market in China at the moment, however the market is expected to increase as the trend for outdoor vacation destinations is becoming more popular. Early marketers of caravan and trailers to the Chinese may have a potential advantage. This seems to be one of the contributing factors to the expansion of the exhibition this year.

Manufacturers of caravans and motorhomes who wish to sell their products in China will need to be aware of the relevant regulations and requirements to do so. It should be noted that campers and caravans are required to have CCC (China Compulsory Certification). Manufacturers must go through the process of obtaining CCC certification before importing their products to China.

The relevant standards therefore are the implementation rule CNCA-C11-01:2014 for motor vehicles and the detailed implementation rule CQC-C1101-2014.
