AQSIQ: New Regulation for the Administration of Defective Products at State Sampling Inspections

In May of 2015 the Chinese authority AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, in Chinese: 中华人民共和国国家质量监督检验检疫总局) published a notice on its website regarding new regulations affecting the administration of defective products at state sampling inspections.

The new regulation in accordance with the state law about product quality (in Chinese: 中华人民共和国产品质量法) and the regulations for product quality controlling at sampling inspections (in Chinese: 产品质量监督抽查管理办法) will standardize the process of dealing with manufacturing companies and strengthen the effectiveness of state product control. This regulation will become effective on July 1, 2015.

20150609133946607-291x300The AQSIQ is responsible for the national quality inspections in China. It controls incoming and outgoing goods and the quarantine of import and export goods. The AQSIQ is also responsible for drafting regulations insuring quality and security.
