CQC Mark Certification
The CQC Mark Certification is a voluntary product certification for a wide range of over 500 products. It is an option for products which cannot receive a CCC Certificate (China Compulsory Certificate). The CQC Mark demonstrates the conformity of the product with the Chinese standards in regards to quality, safety, environmental requirements, and energy efficiency.
Taiwan Certification
The Taiwanese market has an own compulsory product certification: The Taiwan Certification. Products need to undergo specific tests in accordance with Taiwanese Standards. Certification for the automotive sector will be implemented by the Vehicle Safety Certification Center (VSCC).
GACC Registration
GACC registration (previous name: AQSIQ registration) is the “License of Registration for Overseas Supplier Enterprise of Imported Solid Wastes as Raw Materials“. This registration is required for all companies that export recycling materials to the P.R. China. The registration is to ensure that the scrap material is harmless and complies with the Chinese environmental safety standards.
CRCC for Railway Products
CRCC Certification is a mandatory product certification for the export, sales and/or usage of railway products in the Chinese market. The governing authority for this certification is the China Railway Test & Certification Centre (CRCC). The scope of the railway products which are subject to the certification currently includes 378 products.
HAF 604 Certification
Manufacturers of certain safety-relevant components for nuclear power plants in China shall register their products and obtain the relevant certificates before their products can be imported to China legally. The authority responsible for registration of nuclear equipment components which are produced overseas is the “China National Nuclear Safety Administration” (NNSA) which undertakes the so-called HAF 604 certification.
SRRC Type Approval
The SRRC Type Approval (State Radio Regulation of China, SRRC) is a pre-condition before one can receive the Network Access License (NAL). The testing for the SRRC Type Approval must be conducted in a laboratory in China accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The aim of the SRRC Type Approval is the identification of parameters and functions of radio transmission equipment like frequency range, frequency band, transmitting power and many more.
Network Access License (NAL)
The “Network Access License” is mandatory for telecommunication equipment in China. This obligatory license is applicable to telecommunication equipment which is connected to the public telecommunication networks. Approximately 300 different kinds of telecommunication devices require an NAL before they can be imported to China.
MIIT Test Reports
The MIIT Test Report is available for any automotive component. At the moment, they can be provided by six different accredited test laboratories in China. It is a special test report which confirms the conformity to the relevant Chinese GB Standard. It is often requested by OEMs and has a high level of recognition.
CEL
The China Energy Label (CEL) is an energy consumption label for products in China, similar to the EU Energy Label. Products that require CEL, as specified by the regulatory authority, can only be sold, traded or used for business activities in China after CEL permission has been granted. The CEL process involves product tests and a registration of the label at the CELC.
