CCC: CNCA Publishes New List of Accredited Test Labs
The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) published a revised list of accredited test labs in their second announcement for 2017, dated March 1st.
The updated overview of all accredited laboratories identifies which test laboratory is allowed to carry out the compulsory product tests based on the specific CNCA rule. In the course of a certification, test reports are only recognized if they were issued by a test laboratory accredited for the respective CNCA Implementation Rule.
In addition to the overall certification framework, the CNCA Implementation Rules determine which product tests are required for the respective certification, but does not go into detail about the testing parameters. The framework conditions of the product tests, testing procedures and the permissible deviations are defined by the GB standard (GB stands for Guobiao, Chinese for “National Standard”).
Each product that is subject to certification is assigned to a corresponding GB standard . The aim of the product tests is to ensure that all products meet the safety-relevant Chinese requirements.
