China\u2019s regulatory framework for automotive gas systems is expanding with a new CCC-related standard for LNG vehicle automatic valves currently under development. The proposed standard, titled Road Vehicles\u2014Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Fuel System Components\u2014Part 19: Automatic Valve<\/em>, introduces technical requirements aligned with international benchmarks and signals continued regulatory tightening in the alternative fuel vehicle sector.

The standardization project has been officially registered under the national plan as a recommended national standard and is currently in the drafting phase. It falls under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (TC114), with execution by its Gas Vehicles Subcommittee (TC114SC28), and oversight from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Development of the standard is being led by key industry stakeholders, including China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Carelife Automotive Power Technology Co., Ltd. The project has a planned duration of 12 months, having been initiated in January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This standard is part of a broader and increasingly comprehensive series covering LNG fuel system components. Existing and planned related standards address components such as safety valves, manual valves, excess flow valves, check valves, connectors, vaporizers, and gas leak detectors.
