The Chinese CNCA<\/strong> (Certification and Accreditation Administration, in Chinese: \u4e2d\u56fd\u56fd\u5bb6\u8ba4\u8bc1\u8ba4\u53ef\u76d1\u7763\u7ba1\u7406\u59d4\u5458\u4f1a) recently published an allocation table which consists of HS-Codes and product descriptions.<\/p>\n

The purpose is to simplify international trade and to ease the national administration\u2019s control. The released register only refers to the mandatory product certification, which is already published by the CNCA.<\/p>\n

Customs tariff numbers (\u201cHS Codes\u201d, also known as \u201cHarmonized System\u201d) are used to categorize products for the customs clearance process<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The list only contains HS codes for products requiring a China Compulsory Certificate<\/a><\/strong> (also knowns as \u201cCCC\u201d or \u201c3C\u201d certification). By checking the list, you can get a first impression of whether a certain product need a CCC certificate or if a certain HS code indicates that CCC is mandatory<\/strong><\/a>. The list does not replace the official CCC product catalogue provided by the CQC (China Quality Certification Centre, in Chinese: \u4e2d\u56fd\u8d28\u91cf\u8ba4\u8bc1\u4e2d\u5fc3).
\n\"Stadtautobahn\"It is also important to check the product based on technical specifications and description of use. The HS Codes are independent from the CCC product catalogue, and are not simultaneously updated, therefore it is not enough to only check the HS Code list.<\/p>\n

Manufacturers must also check whether there is an existing Chinese GB Standard<\/strong><\/a> (GB stands for \u201cGuobiao\u201d, the Chinese word for \u201cNational Standard\u201d) for their product that requires a CCC certification. If a GB Standard exists CCC is mandatory and the product will need to be certified according to the corresponding Implementation Rules.<\/p>\n
