The new version will be announced soon and should <strong>come into effect on July 1, 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the points that are changed or added and already announced in a draft version are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GB5920 \u201cPhotometric characteristics of front and rear position lamps, end-outline marker lamps and stop lamps for motor vehicles and trailers\u201d is added as normative reference.<\/li>\n<li>Marker lamps for draw-bar-trailer shall be mounted at the front side of the trailer with its front lamps in white and rear lamps in red color indicating the orientation of the vehicle. This is not mentioned in the old version.<\/li>\n<li>The illuminating surface of the rear position lamp, rear turn signal light and brake light for trucks, special construction vehicles and trailers less than 4,500kg shall not be less than the surface of a circle with a diameter of 80mm. If the illumination surface is not a circle, it shall at least cover a circle with a diameter of 40mm. This is not mentioned in the old version.<\/li>\n<li>The luminous intensity of all headlamps shall not exceed 430,000cd. In the old version it was 225,000cd.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is still open if the <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\"><strong>GB standards<\/strong><\/a> GB17509, GB18408 and GB23255 for the external lighting will be updated as well after the new GB4785 will come into effect. The Standard GB4785 is the regulatory basis for the <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-for-oem\"><strong>certification of complete vehicles<\/strong><\/a>.
