According to the announcement No. 3 of the CNCA<\/strong> (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People\u2019s Republic of China) from January 8, 2016 additional GB standards<\/strong> have been released for adapters, plugs and sockets for domestic use and similar purposes.<\/div>\n

The new GB Standards GB 2.099.3-2015<\/strong> (“Plugs and Sockets for Domestic Use and Similar Purposes, part 2-5: Special Requirements for Adapters”) and GB 2.099.7-2015<\/strong> (“Plugs and Sockets for Domestic Use and Similar Purposes, part 2-7: Special Requirements for Sockets of Extension Cables”) were added to the Implementation Rule CNCA-C02-01<\/strong>:<\/strong>2014<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both GB Standards will come into effect on April 14, 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For extension cables, the new standard GB 2099.7 has been added to the existing standards GB 2099.1 and GB 1002\/GB 1003.<\/p>\n

Adapters with Chinese plugs (specifically type A and I) need to be certified in accordance with GB 2099.1, GB 2099.3 and GB1002\/GB1003. Adapters with foreign plugs are excluded.<\/p>\n

Starting April 14, 2017 products that fall into these categories and do not have China<\/strong> CCC certification<\/strong> cannot be imported, bought, sold, used or traded in China.<\/p>\n
