{"id":14502,"date":"2015-11-02T09:34:53","date_gmt":"2015-11-02T09:34:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?page_id=589"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:45:05","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:45:05","slug":"ccc-gb-standard-for-illumination-of-rear-registration-plates-updated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-gb-standard-for-illumination-of-rear-registration-plates-updated\/","title":{"rendered":"CCC: GB Standard for Illumination of Rear Registration Plates Updated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chinese Administration <strong>SAC<\/strong> <strong>(Standardization Administration of the Peoples Republic of China) <\/strong>issued on October 9, 2015 a new <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\">GB Standard<\/a> (GB stands for Guobiao, or \u201cNational Standard\u201d) <strong>for photometric characteristics of devices for the illumination of rear registration plates of motor vehicles and their trailers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new GB Standard <strong>GB 18408-2015<\/strong> replaces the old one (GB 18408-2001).<\/p>\n<p><strong>These are the modifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>ECE regulation R37<\/strong> for automotive filament lamps was added as normative reference to the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulation.<br \/>\nIlluminant modules which were tested under the <strong>voltage of 13.5V and 28.0V<\/strong> so far, have to be tested also under the <strong>voltage of 6.75V<\/strong>. Furthermore, the <strong>brightness of any measuring point<\/strong> should be <strong>less than 2.5cd\/m2<\/strong> by these modifications. However, in the old standard the brightness of any measuring point should be no less than 2.5cd\/m2. The brightness test should be conducted with a DC regulated power supply. The luminance meter used for the test should be the one of Class 1 according to the National Metrological Verification Regulation of the People\u00b4s Republic of China.<br \/>\nThe luminance test shall be conducted vertical to the colorless diffuse reflectance surface. The <strong>deviation<\/strong> of each direction shall be <strong>less than 5\u00b0<\/strong>. The <strong>photometric characteristic test<\/strong> can be conducted with a <strong>voltage of 6.75V, 13.5V or 28.0V<\/strong>.
