At the International Automobile Exhibition IAA<\/strong> that took place from 17 to 27 September 2015 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the CEO of Daimler AG, Mr. Dieter Zetsche<\/strong> has given an interview. He said that growth in the automotive industry is still expected in China.<\/p>\n

Although, the overall market in China has shrunk in August 2015 for the third consecutive month, the Daimler CEO does not expect that the demand in the automotive industry in China will decline and thus, surplus capacity may arise. “The maximum risk could be that we can fill the capacity under construction later<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

In August 2015, Daimler increased its sales by more than 50 percent in China. Overall, Daimler has recorded an increase of almost 28 percent in the first eight months of this year.
\nDaimler’s goal for this year is to sell “considerably more than 300 000 cars<\/em>” in China.<\/p>\n
