{"id":14491,"date":"2015-07-30T09:11:23","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T09:11:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?page_id=534"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:45:11","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:45:11","slug":"cqc-changes-in-the-voluntary-cqc-mark-certification-for-road-and-street-lighting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/cqc-changes-in-the-voluntary-cqc-mark-certification-for-road-and-street-lighting\/","title":{"rendered":"CQC: Changes in the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification for Road and Street Lighting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Chinese certification authority CQC <\/strong>(China Quality Certification Centre, chin. \u201e\u4e2d\u56fd\u8d28\u91cf\u8ba4\u8bc1\u4e2d\u5fc3\u201c) regularly publishes new announcements on their official website regarding products that fall under the mandatory <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-ccc\">CCC certification<\/a> as well as products that can be certified with a <strong>Voluntary CQC Mark certification<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In November of 2014 (\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/announcements-regarding-voluntary-cqc-mark-certification\">Announcements Regarding Voluntary CQC Mark Certification<\/a>\u201d) we informed you about the CQC announcements regarding the <strong>Voluntary CQC Mark Certification<\/strong>. The CQC updated and <strong>changed<\/strong> now the <strong>standards and regulations for the voluntary CQC Mark Certification for Luminaires for Road and Street Lighting<\/strong>. The old GB-Standard for Street Lighting GB7000.5-2005 has been replaced with <strong>GB-Standard GB7000.203-2013<\/strong> and <strong>became effective on July 1, 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The manufacturers will need to make certain adjustments in their street lighting designs. There are <strong>three crucial changes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Added maximum installation height:<\/strong> The manufacturers should state the maximum streetlight installation height in the user manual. When the stated height exceeds 5 meters, luminaires with glass casings must meet the safety regulations as prescribed in <strong>GB7000.203-2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Amendments in test requirements for glass cover safety:<\/strong> Since the previous GB standard only regulated pane tests, the new GB standard now includes the new glass cover tests for glass casing products as curved glass lamp casings. Thus the glass must meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curved glass must be <strong>shatter proof up to 5 Joules <\/strong> upon impact.<\/li>\n<li>Square glass with an area of 50mm x 50mm shatters upon impact, it must <strong>shatter in to more than 20 pieces<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3) Temperature limit of glass casings:<\/strong> Glass casing should be used under the manufacturers stated temperature limit. This includes the minimum and maximum temperature limit as well as the greatest \u0394t value.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2712 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/10\/20150730091521324.jpg\" alt=\"Light trails\" width=\"462\" height=\"260\" \/><strong>Each product category of the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification has its own Certification Rules.<\/strong> The <strong>Certification Rules<\/strong> are based on the National <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\">GB Standards<\/a>. It is important that the products that are within the product range comply with the corresponding Certification Rules. Like the Implementation Rules for mandatory CCC certification products, the <strong>CQC Certification Rules<\/strong> are published on the official website of the certification authority CQC regularly. New Voluntary CQC Mark Certification products and product categories are posted on the website frequently along with important information regarding certification application start dates.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese certification authority CQC often publishes important announcements on their website.
