{"id":14481,"date":"2015-07-20T09:33:04","date_gmt":"2015-07-20T09:33:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?page_id=533"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:45:11","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:45:11","slug":"ccc-expiration-of-deadlines-for-updating-ccc-certificates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-expiration-of-deadlines-for-updating-ccc-certificates\/","title":{"rendered":"CCC: Expiration of Deadlines for Updating CCC Certificates"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\">During the past years the Chinese authorities <strong>CNCA <\/strong>(Certification and Accreditation Administration) and <strong>SAC <\/strong>(Standardization Administration of the People&#8217;s Republic of China) have issued <strong>many new or updated <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\">GB Standards<\/a><\/strong> (GB stands for Guobiao, Chinese for \u201cNational Standard\u201d), including test standards affecting the <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/automotive-ccc\">CCC certification of automotive components<\/a>.<\/div>\n<p>In July 2014, for example, <strong>updated GB standards for rear-view mirrors <\/strong> (GB 15804), <strong>side markers<\/strong> (GB 18099) as well as for <strong>door locks and retentions <\/strong>(GB 15086) were implemented. Previously <strong>new standard for safety belts <\/strong>(GB 14166) <strong>and for child restraint systems<\/strong> (GB 27887) were released.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese authorities have defined certain <strong>deadlines for existing CCC certificates to be updated<\/strong>. Failure to do so will result in the Chinese certification body to initially suspend and then finally cancel the certificate, due to non-compliance. Once a certificate has been suspended or cancelled it is illegal to export these goods to China.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>transition period for rear-view mirrors, door locks and retentions was July 1, 2015<\/strong>. Since this deadline has already passed <strong>CCC certificates<\/strong> which still show the old standards are not valid anymore and there is a high risk of parts being detained at Chinese customs. The transition period for side markers will end June 31, 2016. All manufacturers wishing to continue shipping their products to China will need to make sure they update their certificates prior to this date to remain in compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Starting September 1, 2015 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-ccc-certification-for-child-safety-seats-in-motor-vehicles-will-be-mandatory-after-september-1-2015\">child restraint systems <\/a><\/strong> will be required to have <strong>CCC certification<\/strong>. After this date they cannot enter Chinese market without a valid CCC certificate and a CCC mark. Manufacturers of child seats who did not start the China <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/certification-process\">CCC certification process<\/a> for their products yet, will not meet the deadline. This is because the CCC process takes several months and the product tests are extensive and complex.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2704 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/10\/20150602132807263.jpg\" alt=\"20150602132807263\" width=\"112\" height=\"67\" \/>CCC certificate holders should stay up to date regarding the latest developments to the <strong>Chinese CCC regulations<\/strong>. The Chinese certification authorities <strong>CCAP<\/strong> (China Certification Centre for Automotive Products) and <strong>CQC<\/strong> (China Quality Certification Centre) regularly issue announcements on their websites, but they do not send any information or newsletters to certificate holders.<\/p>\n<p>Are you looking for more information regarding <strong>new Chinese standards<\/strong>?
