{"id":14472,"date":"2015-05-19T09:52:11","date_gmt":"2015-05-19T09:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?page_id=500"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:45:15","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:45:15","slug":"ccc-new-guidelines-for-the-illumination-of-rear-registration-plates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-new-guidelines-for-the-illumination-of-rear-registration-plates\/","title":{"rendered":"CCC: New Guidelines for the Illumination of Rear Registration Plates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chinese certification authority <strong>CQC<\/strong> (China Quality Certification Center) announced, that a new <strong><a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\">GB Standard<\/a><\/strong> (GB stands for Guobiao, or \u201cNational Standard\u201d) for \u201c<strong>photometric characteristics of devices for the illumination of rear registration plates of motor vehicles and their trailers<\/strong>\u201d will be published.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>affected standards <\/strong>are: <strong>GB4785 <\/strong>(installation of the outdoor illumination on vehicles and their trailers), <strong>GB 15766.1 <\/strong>(bulb size and optical requirements) and <strong>ECE R37<\/strong> (affects filament lamps in vehicles and their trailers). The <strong>ECE R37<\/strong> was added as a normative reference.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2701 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/10\/20150519100228416.jpg\" alt=\"20150519100228416\" width=\"112\" height=\"67\" \/>The following points are important in regards to the<strong> illumination of rear registration plates<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade name and trademark<\/li>\n<li>Optical attributes including entrance angle, luminous intensity and light distribution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Changes for the illumination of rear registration include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The angle of incidence of the illumination of the license plate<\/li>\n<li>The guidelines in regards to the different light sources used<\/li>\n<li>The illumination should not change the color of the plate significantly<\/li>\n<li>The brightness of measuring points have been changed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New testing guidelines include<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The permissible voltage values by which the light source modules need to be tested<\/li>\n<li>The angle of incidence for the luminescence test the diffused reflection surface<\/li>\n<li>A revision in the permissible voltage values by which the photometric characteristics test must be performed<\/li>\n<li>The brightness test shall be conducted with a DC regulated power supply and the testing equipment will need to be in compliance with the national Guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you looking for more information regarding new Chinese standards?
