The Chinese certification authority CQC (<\/strong>China Quality Certification Center)<\/strong> announced in mid-January 2015 that a new GB standards<\/a><\/strong> (GB stands for Guobiao, or \u201cNational Standard\u201d) for \u201cHousehold and Similar Electrical Appliances Safety Refrigeration Equipment with Special Requirements for Ice Cream Machines and Ice Making Machines\u201d will be published later this year. The new GB standard GB4706.13-2014 will be implemented on January 1, 2016. Products that were certified according to the old GB standard GB4706.13-2008 must comply with the new GB standard as soon as it becomes mandatory.<\/strong> This also applies for change of certifications and new CCC certifications.<\/p>\n

The Chinese certification authority CQC will host a conference in China in order to discuss the changes and necessary change procedure prior to the start of submission of CCC changing applications<\/a><\/strong>. Members of the Chinese certification authority as well as anyone interested in the new GB standard are welcome to attend the conference. The admission to the conference is free of charge, but requires prior registration. The conference will take place in the following cities: January 22, 2015 in Shunde and Hangzhou and January 23, 2015 in Hefei. The conference will discuss the changes of the GB standard that are relevant for ice cream machines and ice making machines. There will be an emphasis on the following three topics:<\/p>\n
