{"id":14375,"date":"2014-02-25T16:06:25","date_gmt":"2014-02-25T16:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?page_id=178"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:44:07","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:44:07","slug":"ccc-new-gb-standard-15084-2013-for-rear-view-mirrors-on-the-verge-of-introduction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-new-gb-standard-15084-2013-for-rear-view-mirrors-on-the-verge-of-introduction\/","title":{"rendered":"CCC: New GB Standard 15084-2013 for rear view mirrors on the verge of introduction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/gb-standards\">GB Standards<\/a><\/strong> <strong>(GB stands for Guobiao, Chinese for National Standard) are the official basis for<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-ccc\">CCC certifications<\/a><\/strong> <strong>in China.<\/strong> They are published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and define the scope, parameters and prescriptive limits for product testing required for the CCC certification. If there is no corresponding GB Standard, CCC is not required.<br>The GB Standards are accompanied by the corresponding Implementation Rules which define the certification need, the process necessary to obtain a certificate and required marking of the product with the CCC logo. These rules exist for every <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/list-of-ccc-mandatory-products\">product category that requires CCC certification<\/a><\/strong>, with more being added regularly. They are issued by the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People\u2019s Republic of China), therefore each number contains the index \u201cCNCA.\u201d<br>This year, the Chinese authorities have already published several new changes regarding the regulatory framework of CCC certification. Among these is the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-announcement-of-ccap-regarding-update-of-chinese-gb-standard-for-seat-belts\">update of the Chinese GB Standard for seat belts<\/a><\/strong> (GB 14166-2013 \u201cSafety-belts, restraint systems, child restraint systems and ISOFIX child restraint systems for occupants of power-driven vehicles\u201d) and the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/ccc-new-implementation-rules-cnca-02c-0232012-for-ccc-certification-of-vehicles\">renewal of the implementation rules CNCA-02C-023-2012<\/a><\/strong> for CCC certification of vehicles. As well September 1, 2014, <strong>CCC certification for child safety seats<\/strong> will become mandatory.<br><strong>Recently, GB Standard 15084 for rear view mirrors inside and outside the car, title: \u201cMotor vehicles \u2013 Devices for indirect vision \u2013 Requirements of performance and installation\u201d was also revised. The GB Standard \u201cGB 15084-2006\u201d will be replaced by the new version \u201cGB 15084-2013.\u201d<\/strong> In the new version, a couple of significant changes have been made. These may have consequences for manufacturers of mirrors. For example, the minimum dishing radius, or crown radius, of an exterior rear view mirror was substantially reduced.<br>The Chinese certification authorities will include the updated standard into their regulatory system on July 1, 2014, however it may take several months until the standard will be fully implemented. At this time the Chinese authorities have not published the complete, detailed official requirements. After they are published mirror manufacturers will need to take action to make sure that their mirrors are in compliance with the new standard (GB 15084-2013). At that time updates of CCC certificates and\/or execution of new sample tests, if requested, can be initiated.<br>You will find the official announcement regarding these changes in our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/news\">\u201cNews\u201d section<\/a><\/strong> on our website.
