{"id":14340,"date":"2017-11-09T00:07:56","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T23:07:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/?p=3541"},"modified":"2023-02-09T11:44:34","modified_gmt":"2023-02-09T10:44:34","slug":"the-numbers-on-chinas-progress-in-certification-released","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.china-certification.com\/en\/the-numbers-on-chinas-progress-in-certification-released\/","title":{"rendered":"The Numbers on China\u2019s Progress in Certification Released"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the <strong>18<sup>th<\/sup> National Congress of the Communist Party<\/strong> of China held in <strong>2012<\/strong> the Central Committee announced to place <strong>product quality<\/strong> in a more prominent position and increase the attention given towards <strong>certification<\/strong> and accreditation work. China\u2019s most important certification and accreditation administration <strong>CNCA<\/strong> has been following the progress over the years and recently released information on the progress.<\/p>\n<p>There are <strong>387 certification authorities<\/strong> in China who have certified approximately <strong>1.8 million products<\/strong> and more than <strong>600.000 organizations<\/strong> worldwide. In terms of the amount of <strong>product certifications<\/strong>, China has been leading the world for many years now. The product categories that require <a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-ccc\"><strong>CCC<\/strong><\/a> have been increasing continuously as well. China has established stricter requirements towards product <strong>quality, environmental standards, energy and water saving and product manufacturing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to a survey of the <strong>United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)<\/strong>, the effectiveness of <strong>quality management systems<\/strong> within the <strong>ISO9001 certified companies<\/strong> has been improved significantly. There has also been an increase of product quality as shown by the test sample passing rates. In <strong>2016, 90.3%<\/strong> of test samples passed, this compared to <strong>78.5%<\/strong> passing rate shown in 2011. Another survey in the Southern Guangdong province revealed, that the sample test passing rate of certified companies is in average <strong>10%<\/strong> higher than the ones of non-certified companies.
