On May 29, 2020 it was announced that the new standard GB-18613-2020 will come into effect on June 1, 2021, replacing the previous standards GB 18613-2012 and GB 25985-2010 (Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Values of Efficiency Grades for Motors).<\/p>\n<p>This standard specifies the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency grades, as well as the minimum values of energy efficiency and test methods for three-phase single-phase induction motors and the motors for fans of air-conditioning systems.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7397 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/08\/stock-image-49520567-s-2015.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"417\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In particular, the standard applies to products that fall into the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>N motors<\/li>\n<li>Universal motors<\/li>\n<li>Capacitor-driven induction motors<\/li>\n<li>Explosion-proof motors in continuous operation<\/li>\n<li>Brushless DC motors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The most important changes at a glance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The scope of applicability of the standard has been revised.<\/li>\n<li>The target energy efficiency limit for electric motors and the energy efficiency rating for electric motors have been removed.<\/li>\n<li>The requirements for the functional efficiency limits of three-phase induction motors have been specified.<\/li>\n<li>The efficiency rating of 8-pole three-phase induction motors (see Table 1 of GB25958-2010) has been added.<\/li>\n<li>The energy efficiency index requirements for capacitor starting, capacitor running and asynchronous motors with double capacitors have been increased (see Table 2, Table 3, Table 4 of GB25958-2010).<\/li>\n<li>The energy efficiency index requirements for fan motors of room air conditioners have been deleted (see Table 5 of GB25958-2010).<\/li>\n<li>The energy efficiency index requirements for condenser driven motors for air-conditioning fans and brushless DC motors for air-conditioning fans were added (see tables 5 and table 6 of GB25958-2010)<\/li>\n<li>Deletion of technical requirements for the target limit value and energy efficiency rating value of small power motors (see 4.4 and 4.5 of GB25958-2010).<\/li>\n<li>The requirements for single-phase and three-phase small power motors with energy efficiency level of 120W have been deleted.<\/li>\n<li>The requirements for test methods for capacitor operated motors for air conditioning blowers and brushless DC motors for air conditioning blowers have been added (see chapter 6 of GB25958-2010).<\/li>\n<li>The requirements for test methods and test were updated (see chapter 6, chapter 6 of GB25958-2010 and chapter 6 of GB18613-2012).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The new GB standard GB-18613-2020 is relevant for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-cel\/?noredirect=en_US\">CEL (China Energy Label)<\/a><\/strong>, as it redefines energy efficiency as well as the scope of motors to be certified.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on howCEL-Certification,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-ccc\"><strong>CCC certification<\/strong><\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/what-is-ccc\/ccc-self-declaration\/\"><strong>CCC Self-Declaration<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/ccap-mark-certification\/\"><strong>voluntary CCAP or CQC certification<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0may affect your company, or for more information about\u00a0CCC certification\u00a0in general, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/certification-process\"><strong>process<\/strong><\/a>, and the associated\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/costs-of-ccc-certification\"><strong>costs<\/strong><\/a>, please visit our\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/china-certification.com\/en\/news\"><strong>News Section<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0where you will find current updates twice a week.<\/p>\n<p>Please do not hesitate to contact us for further details and consultation.
