The Certification Alliance for Vehicle (CAV), founded in 2022, is a voluntary cooperative Chinese organization that operates under the supervision and direction of the State Administration for Market Supervision (SAMR). The key core members of this alliance are the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC), the China Certification Centre for Automotive Products (CCAP), China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co, Ltd (CATARC), China Automotive Quality Control (CAQC) and the China Automobile Institute Kerry Testing and Certification (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. (CCARI). In addition to issuing the certificates of their own authority, each member is also allowed\u00a0to issue CAV Certificates<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CAV is an important platform in the field of voluntary certification of vehicle components and the entire vehicle. Through the mutual recognition of CAV certificates, the new alliance aims to avoid duplicate certification and reduce costs for enterprises, promote automotive technical research and certification service, improve the quality of automotive products, and enable healthy, orderly development of the automotive industry. By the end of 2023, CAV has issued nine implementing regulations for products in the automotive sector, including products subject to CCC self-declaration and voluntary certification. In the future, CAV will continue to develop in certification areas such as autonomous driving, functional safety, information security, new energy vehicles, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
