More InformationFor numerous automotive components and vehicle parts in China, the Certification Alliance for Vehicle (CAV) has replaced the traditional system, meaning CAV certificates are now standardly issued for relevant applications. This procedure consolidates proofs for the Chinese market and particularly simplifies overall vehicle homologation for manufacturers by eliminating the need for additional document submissions. Technical testing and factory audits continue to be handled by established institutions such as CQC or CCAP, while official certification is processed through CAV.
