CQC Launches CCC Certification for Appliance Hose Assemblies in China

July 2026The China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) has announced the launch of a new CCC certification service covering the failure performance of hose assemblies used in household and similar electrical appliances. The new certification program provides manufacturers with a dedicated conformity assessment pathway based on a recently issued certification rule and an established national standard, supporting product compliance for the Chinese market.
The certification service became available on 16 June 2026 and is intended for hose assemblies that connect household electrical appliances to water supplies. These components play an important role in preventing water-related safety risks, including backflow and failures that could lead to leakage or equipment damage. Household and similar electrical appliance hose assemblies usually require CCC certification in order to be approved for import and sale in China.
New Certification Rules and Applicable Standard
According to the announcement, the new certification program is formally titled Product Certification for the Failure Performance of Hose Assemblies for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances and has been assigned the business code 002056.
Certification activities will be carried out in accordance with CQC16-362390-2026, Product Certification Rules for the Failure Performance of Hose Assemblies for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances. Product evaluations will be based on the Chinese national standard GB/T 23127-2020, Electrical Appliances Connected to the Water Mains – Avoidance of Backsiphonage and Failure of Hose Assemblies.
The introduction of this certification enables manufacturers to demonstrate that hose assemblies satisfy defined performance requirements intended to reduce the risk of failures during normal operation. Compliance with the applicable certification rule and referenced standard can also support consistent product quality and facilitate regulatory assessments where relevant.
Application Process and Impact for Manufacturers
CQC’s Product Certification Department II has officially begun accepting certification applications. Companies wishing to obtain certification can submit their applications through the CQC website, where the certification process is now available for eligible products.
Manufacturers, suppliers, and exporters of household electrical appliances and related components should review the new certification requirements to determine whether their hose assemblies fall within the scope of the program. Early preparation, including verification of product design, testing documentation, and compliance with GB/T 23127-2020, may help streamline the certification process before products are introduced to the Chinese market.
