CQC: Voluntary Mark Certification for Electronic Products in Vehicles
8. May 2015The Chinese certification authority CQC regularly publishes new announcements on their official website regarding products that fall under the mandatory CCC certification as well as products that can be certified with a Voluntary CQC Mark certification.
In our previous News (“CQC: Voluntary CQC Mark Certification for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Plugs) we have informed you about a new CQC announcement regarding the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification. The CQC has now introduced a special voluntary certification program that includes electronic products in vehicles. Currently electronic products with up to 20 different antennas are used in normal vehicles. The new certification scope will increase the EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility).
A few examples of products that can now apply for CQC Voluntary Mark Certification are:
- Audio and Video Devices
- GPS Navigation Devices
- Sound Devices
- Laptops
- Charging Devices and Inverters
Every product category of the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification has its own Certification Rules. The Certification Rules are based on the National GB Standards. It is important that the products that are within the product range comply with the corresponding Certification Rules. The Implementation Rules for mandatory CCC certification products, as well as the certification rules for the Voluntary CQC Mark Certification can be found on the official CQC website, along with the application start dates.
It is also important to check for new regulatory requirements frequently. Once new Certification Rules for a product are published, change of certificates for Voluntary CQC Mark Certificates need to be applied in order to keep their validity. Certificates that are not updated to the latest certification rules will be suspended.
